WELCOME TO BEIT TEHILA OF IOWA

Beit Tehila means, "House of honest praise!"
We are a gathering of Believers who desires to see raised up in the Cedar Rapids area, a community that worships the Father and his son Yeshua (Jesus) in Spirit and Truth! Our mission is to teach believers how to love by applying God’s Word (teaching and instructions) to our lives. Our vision is for the regathering and restoration of that which has been lost by actively walking in the covenant that he made with us. We call this returning to the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. There are instructions in the Word of God that have been lost through the ages and Abba is restoring them. Aside from being born-again, water baptized, and baptized in the Holy Spirit, there is the sanctification process, which, consist of living out His Word through our lives. Being a Believer is more than just a belief system, it’s a life-style! If you are feeling this call, or looking for a community like this, we invite you to come and be a part of this growing community!
Romans 11:17 says, “And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree.”  We are now part of the Commonwealth of Israel because of our relationship with Yeshua (Jesus Christ).  “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ,”      Ephesians 2:12-13.

OUR VISION

To build a strong community by loving God and loving one another as He brings about the regathering and restoration of the whole house of Israel, both the Jewish people and Christians, to be one new man in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus)!

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to teach the believers how to love by applying His word to our lives.  We will serve God and one another by actively engaging in the Beit Tehila community and walking in the covenant He has with us.  We will provide a facility and environment for God to gather and restore the lost sheep of the House of Israel.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE INFALLIBLE WORD
We believe that the Bible, both the Tanakh (Old Covenant) and the Brit Hadasha (New Covenant), is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of YHVH (God) (1Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
ONE GOD (The Father YHVH)
We believe in ONE God (YHVH) as He has revealed Himself in the Holy Scriptures (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; John 1; Hebrews1).

SON OF GOD (Yeshua-Salvation)
We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Son of God; the Messiah; the Eternal One in whom all the fullness of deity dwells in bodily form; the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the uniquely begotten Son of God, full of grace and truth (John 1:1-14; Colossians 2:9).
DIETY OF YESHUA
We believe in the Deity of Yeshua, His virgin birth (Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1: 18-25), His sinless life (Isaiah 53, 2 Corinthians 5:21), His miracles (Matthew 4: 23-25; John 21:25), and His atonement through His shed blood (Isaiah 53; Daniel 9: 24-27; Romans 3: 21-31; Hebrews 9 &10). We believe in His bodily resurrection (Zechariah 14; Matthew 28; John 20), and in His personal and physical return in power and glory (Daniel 7: 9-14; Matthew 26: 57-64; Revelation 1: 1-18; Zechariah 12:10;).

WATER BAPTISM
We believe in the instruction of water baptism (immersion) in water. An outward act of an inward work of repentance. (Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 8:36).
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
We believe in being baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire. It is a gift from God the father promised by Yeshua to all believers and is received subsequent to the new birth (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 2:38-39). We believe in the operation of and embrace all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in YHVH’s Word. The gift of tongues is one of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:1-7; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
REDEPTION/SALVATION
We believe man is a created being made in the likeness and image of YHVH, but through Adam’s transgression and fall sin came into the world for “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) As it is written, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10) Yeshua, the Messiah and the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Romans 3:10, 23, 5:14; 1 John 3:8).  Salvation is the complete deliverance that God, through the person & work of Messiah Yeshua, and by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, gives to His people (1 Timothy 1:15).  Salvation is a gift of God to man, separate from works and the Torah, and is made operative by grace through faith in Yeshua producing works acceptable to God. One may not earn, merit or keep this eternal salvation by his own efforts. A new creation is the work of God alone (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5, 6).
SANTIFICATION
We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive, work of grace commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation (fulfillment) of salvation.  Sanctification results in holiness or purification from the guilt & power of sin, and the Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see YHVH.         (1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 12:14).

TORAH
We believe that the Torah, which is the first five Books of the Old Testament/Covenant, is a comprehensive summary of Gods foundational teachings and instructions as found in both the new and older covenants (Exodus 19, 20; Deuteronomy 5; Jeremiah 31:31-34; Matthew 5:17-19; Hebrews 8:10). Therefore, we encourage all believers, both Jewish and non-Jewish, to affirm, embrace, and practice these foundational laws/instructions as clarified through the life of Yeshua (Matthew 5:17-19; 1 Corinthians 7:19; Revelation 14:12).

ONE NEW MAN
We believe that those who trust in Yeshua are grafted into the olive tree of Israel, which grants them the privilege of following the Torah (YHVH’s teachings and instructions) having written it upon their hearts as participants of the New Covenant. Thus, all Israel will be saved (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Romans 11:11-26; Ephesians 2:15).

RESTORATION OF ISRAEL
We believe that the New Covenant believers are part of Israel, both natural and wild branches grafted into Israel by the blood of the Messiah (Romans 11). We DO NOT believe or teach that believers have replaced Israel, but rather have become part of, and joint-heirs of the promise, and members of the Commonwealth of Israel, (Ephesians 2:11-14) having the Torah (YHVH’s teachings and instructions) written upon their hearts and minds according to the New Covenant. (Romans 11:11-24; Jeremiah 31: 31-34; Hebrews 8: 8-12).
RESURRECTION
We believe in the resurrection of both the wicked and the righteous. Those who have trusted in Yeshua will be resurrected unto life and those who die without having believed in Yeshua will experience the eternal wrath of YHVH (John 5:19-29; Romans 1:18; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 20, 21).
